Deborah Mills has been managing Hamilton EQ’s upstate New York portfolio since she joined the team in 2016. With a focus on tenant retention through improved services, her responsibilities as Property Manager include supervising all property personnel, security, and maintenance. In addition, Deborah assists in contract negotiations, vendor management, technical and preventive building management, and construction oversight.
Deborah currently manages over 520,000 square feet of Class A office space, consisting of central business district and suburban office locations.
Taylor Cole holds a dual role as both Accounting Manager and Property Manager for the Hamilton EQ Management team. As Property Manager, Taylor is responsible for Yorkmont Plaza portfolio located in Charlotte, N.C., and as Accounting Manager, she is responsible for the financial management of Hamilton’s Southern Region based out of Charlotte.
Taylor has over five years of commercial real estate accounting experience with Cushman & Wakefield, managing over 1.6M sf in assets for high-profile clients. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Taylor worked in the private accounting sector for three years.
Taylor holds her BA in Business Administration from the University of Missouri.
Matthew Sexton is the Director of Property Management for Hamilton EQ Management’s Southern Region based out of Charlotte, N.C., overseeing Property Management, Accounting, Facilities Management and Construction Management.
Before joining Hamilton, Matt was a Senior Property Manager with Cushman & Wakefield in Raleigh, N.C. and Columbia, S.C., where he was recognized as Asset Services Employee of the Year for North and South Carolina, and his team was awarded the Kingsley Survey “highest overall tenant satisfaction” in the Carolinas. Previously, Matt served in a dual role as the CRE Manager and Property Manager for the state of South Carolina, directing several departments including Construction and Planning, Facilities Management, and Commercial Energy Management. Prior to the public sector, Matt was a Commercial Real Estate Broker in Columbia, specializing in office leasing and sales.
Matt holds his BA in Business Administration from Furman University.
As Senior Director of Property Management, Rick Tait is responsible for Hamilton EQ’s Upstate NY office portfolio, including tenant relations, construction, maintenance, environmental systems and security, as well as supervision of the Upstate NY management team. Rick also plays an integral role by working closely with the leasing team with prospective tenants.
Rick has over thirty years’ experience in CRE Property Management, including twenty years with the Pioneer Companies as Vice President of Property Management. He has an extensive background in building operations, maintenance, disaster response and preparedness as well as experience in construction management and engineering.
Rick holds degrees from Onondaga Community College and Syracuse University.
Chad Thompson is the General Manager for Capitol Center, a 460,000 SF Class A CBD Office Building in Columbia, S.C. He is responsible for oversight of all building operations and maintenance, financial management, staff management, project management, contract negotiations, vendor management, and tenant retention. Chad also plays an integral role with leasing by working closely with the leasing team with prospective tenants. His twenty years of Real Estate management experience includes managing buildings in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Columbia. A list of Chad’s employers over his career include Jones Lang LaSalle, Grubb & Ellis, and CBRE.
He holds degrees in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from the University of South Carolina and is a CPM Candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management.
